  1. I got married this past December and our colors were a deep red and silver. Everything was gorgeous! Budget really depends on too many things to be able to give you a figure. Are you planning a formal sit-down dinner? Where are you located? Do you want tons of flowers? Etc.
  2. white and red would be gorgeous wintery colours wedding costs could vary from £10, 000 to like £50,000 depending on your personal budget and what the wedding would consist of
  3. Do you realize of what you just did...you just asked everybody who is is reading this stuff to charge you as much as possible; therefore putting the first real strain upon your marrige... Here is the ultimate wedding... GET MARRIED ON THE SPACE STATION...you say no whay can we afford that, but I say SPONSERS, AND TELIVISION...PLEEEESE MAKE IT VERY ROMANTIC, AND PLAY THE SONG "WHEN I'M WITH YOU " BY SHERRIFF... for the first dance; no money needed, just LOVE...
  4. Our wedding in Dec 09. Our colors are Christmas red, black and silver( my dress white with silver embroidery. But have to admit did toy with the idea of Christmas green and gold also. Any of the jewel tones, royal blue, royal purple, deep rose, burgundy work well for that time of year. Ice blue and plaids work great too. Our theme is snow and snowflakes( because I raise and show sled dogs) but if you went with plaids then a Dickens Christmas might be a great theme as well. We are even using snowflake tree ornaments as favors. Our guest list is 150 and we are all DIY, our budget is slightly higher than 5K. but we have a BIG full dinner Buffet with Viennese dessert table and a ton of flowers(4 maids and 3 flower girls, 4 groomsmen) and heavy decor. We have made most of the decor and all the wedding stationary. Congrats and hope this helps.
  5. People say 20,000-30,000 but I am easily doing mine for under 10,000. I am having a dessert reception instead of a full meal, and I'm not hiring a band, and I'm not having ANY alcohol. If you do want alcohol, just don't do an open bar. My mom did one 30 years ago and everyone was drunk.
  6. The cost of a wedding various tremendously. The average wedding is supposed to cost something like £16,000, but that is just an average of numbers. While many couples can wed on a couple of thousand, other can go into hundreds of thousands. My wedding in July is more-or-less on similar scale to yours, and ours is going to come to something in the region of £5000. It's a nice, but fairly modest affair. As for colours, any Christmas-related colours like reds and greens will look lovely, as will the use of candles.
  7. the average cost for weddings is any where from $16000 usd on up. but there are many people who do it for less. im doing mine for under 2000. im doing alot of things myself, like flowers, hair, make up, food, centerpieces, etc. and actually using professionals for the cake and photos. im getting married in june 2009 ( i also met my fiance in june and we started dating in september) and i think some gorgeouse colors for your wedding would be a dark red, some greens (think like mistle toes and hollie berries), maybe even some gold and or silver. I think it would be gorgeous. good luck and congrats
  8. In the US, the average price "for a traditional wedding" is $20,000 to $22,000 for one hundred people (and that covers Maine to California). The reception is ALWAYS fifty percent of your expenses (food, drink, and entertainment). A wedding is just like anything else . . YOU, the Bride and Groom, can spend as little or as much as YOU want. You can be driven to the reception in a limousine or a beat up Volkswagen bus. You can order a beautifully decorated five-tiered wedding cake or your Mother can bake cupcakes and cookies for the reception. You can buy a designer gown at a bridal shop or have your Aunt Tilly create one from a pattern that you picked out in a fabric store. It all depends on YOU. Here's some averages . . wedding gown, headpiece, veil and shoes is $1100 . . NICE wedding album full of color pictures $1800 . . Designer tuxedo and shoes $120 . . Bride's bouquet $185 (REAL flowers) . . Flavorful wedding cake $4 per slice . . Bride's Mother's dress and shoes $250 . . Three course roast beef or chicken dinner (does not include alcoholic beverages) $65 per person. 9. The average wedding of your size is about $25,000. There are many ways to cut the budget, but that is the average price. Since you are looking at a Dec. wedding, you do have some advantages. Since most places are already decorated for the holidays, you could take advantage of that for your wedding decor. That can be a significant cost cutter. Good wedding colors for that time of year are silver/blue , gold/green or all white with a hint of red accents.
