How does Atlanta measure up in quality of life and cost of living and is it worth moving my family there?
I may be working at Georgia Tech but will need to move my family (2 young kids) to Atlanta. I'm wondering if the kids will have things to do and a chance to enjoy it.

- I highly recommend East Cobb, it is one of the best "traditional" neighborhoods in the country. The public schools rank among the best in Georgia and Walton High School was featured on the cover of Time Magazine a few years ago. East Cobb is approximately 13 miles north of Atlanta in Cobb County. City-data.com ranks East Cobb 12th in the nation for safety for cities/areas of 50,000 or more. If you have the big bucks and want to go for private schools go for Buckhead. Known as the Beverly Hills of the South, it has many top notch private schools as well as some of the most affluent communities, shopping and restaurants in the south.
