Families visiting Atlanta in September will have the opportunity to take advantage of discounts at several city attractions as part of the return of Kids Free September, organized by the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB). The promotion allows children to receive free admission at participating locations throughout the month.
“Atlanta is so fortunate to have a number of must-see attractions that parents and kids alike will enjoy,” said Jo Ann Haden-Miller, senior director, partnerships & executive director, ACVB Foundation. “Our hope is that Kids Free September encourages local and traveling families to experience fun, cultural and educational opportunities all month long.”
Participating venues in this year’s promotion include the Atlanta History Center, Center for Puppetry Arts, Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Georgia Aquarium, High Museum of Art, Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum, LEGO Discovery Center Atlanta, Michael C. Carlos Museum, Museum of Design Atlanta, Tellus Science Museum, The Breman Museum, World of Coca-Cola and Zoo Atlanta.
In addition to these sites offering special deals for Kids Free September, some city attractions are always free to visit. These include the Atlanta Beltline, Historic Oakland Cemetery and Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park.
