Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), together with the City of Atlanta and the Atlanta Sports Council, has released a video featuring well-known Atlantans welcoming visitors ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The video includes 18 celebrities from various sectors such as music, sports, film, business, civil rights, and community leadership. They encourage viewers to explore Atlanta during the global event.

“These Atlanta icons represent the pride, passion and personality that make Atlanta unlike anywhere else in the world,” said William Pate, president and CEO of ACVB. “As we welcome fans from every continent for FIFA World Cup, we want them to feel exactly what these celebrities feel: the vibrancy and hospitality that make Atlanta unforgettable.”

The video aims to showcase Atlanta’s energetic culture and diverse background. It highlights easy access to the city and a strong year-round sports scene. The reel also draws attention to Atlanta’s established soccer culture.

Officials expect more than 225,000 fans to visit Atlanta for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The anticipated influx could generate over $500 million in economic activity for both the city and Georgia state. This economic boost is likely to benefit local businesses across tourism, hospitality, and retail sectors.

Atlanta is scheduled to host eight matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium between June 11 and July 19 as part of the tournament. To watch the video, click here.
