IAM Union members at Atlantic Aviation Teterboro have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement, resulting in higher wages, improved benefits, and better working conditions. The agreement was negotiated by IAM District 142 and includes wage increases for all job classifications, a $1,500 signing bonus, retroactive pay from the contract’s expiration date, premium increases, and provisions such as sick time buyback. Additional improvements were made to vacation accrual policies, surveillance language, progressive discipline procedures, and shift scheduling.
“This agreement reflects the power of union solidarity and the commitment of our members at Atlantic Aviation TEB,” said IAM Air Transport Territory General Vice President Richie Johnsen. “This contract was won by the hard work, unity, and determination of our membership.”
IAM District 142 representatives plan to collaborate with company management to ensure that all aspects of the new contract are implemented correctly and without delay.
“This contract delivers meaningful economic gains and important workplace protections,” said IAM District 142 President and Directing General Chair John M. Coveny, Jr. “It’s what our members fought for and what they have more than earned.”
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers has stated its ongoing dedication to advocating for its members through collective bargaining agreements and labor actions.
