The Committee for a Better Atlanta (CBA) has released its 2025 Candidate Scorecard, providing an assessment of individuals running for Mayor, City Council President, and City Council. The scorecard is intended to help Atlanta voters understand how candidates align with CBA’s policy priorities and their preparedness to lead the city.
CBA, established in 1996, is a nonpartisan group made up of business and civic leaders focused on policies that support economic growth and an inclusive community in Atlanta. The organization aims to inform voters and increase transparency about candidate platforms through tools such as the candidate scorecard.
The 2025 scorecard continues a tradition that began with CBA’s first candidate forum in June 1996. This year, CBA organized the first major forum of the election season. According to the organization, 80% of candidates participated in the evaluation process, which involved written questionnaires and in-person interviews. Candidates were rated on their alignment with the CBA Policy Platform, which covers strong governance, leadership and partnerships, inclusive economic growth, safe neighborhoods, and a sustainable city.
Notable candidates included in the assessment are incumbent Mayor Andre Dickens, who is seeking re-election, as well as Marci Collier Overstreet and Rohit Malhotra, both running for City Council President.
Election Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with early voting available from October 14 to October 31. CBA’s scorecard is intended to give voters a clear view of where candidates stand on important issues facing Atlanta.
