Delta Air Lines has announced the addition of three new nonstop routes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Denver (DEN), Columbus (CMH), and Kansas City (MCI). The airline is also increasing service on two existing routes, San Francisco (SFO) and Indianapolis (IND).

“With these new routes and expanded service, Delta is building on a strong foundation in Austin and creating more ways for our customers to get where they want to go,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning. “It’s another step in delivering the network, convenience and premium experience that sets Delta apart as Austin’s leading global carrier.”

Ghizlane Badawi, CEO of AUS, commented on the announcement: “This is another exciting investment in our community from Delta. We are so grateful for their partnership and shared mission of connecting Austin and Central Texas travelers to more nonstop destinations. We look forward to the continued collaboration with the airline, especially as we make progress on expanding and improving our airport.”

The new Denver service will begin November 9, 2025, operating twice daily through SkyWest using Embraer 175 aircraft. Service to Columbus and Kansas City starts June 7, 2026; Columbus will be served once daily while Kansas City will have two daily flights. Both routes will also use Embraer 175 jets featuring Delta First, Delta Comfort, and Delta Main cabins.

Expanded frequencies include San Francisco—rising from one to two daily flights beginning April 13, 2026—and Indianapolis—growing from one to three daily flights starting June 7, 2026.

Delta reports it has carried over one million passengers between Austin and its destinations so far this year—a year-over-year increase of 12%. The company plans further additions such as domestic service to Palm Springs launching in November and international service to Cancun and Cabo San Lucas starting in December.

Austin travelers can access nearly 30 destinations with Delta from AUS. The airport features a highly rated Delta Sky Club recognized for its Texas-inspired design. For the past three years, this club has received top customer satisfaction rankings in the Southern region.

Delta also plans to open a permanent flight attendant base in Austin this October.

“This is fantastic news for the Lone Star State! Delta’s decision to open a flight attendant base and continue its expansion in Austin will open more travel choices for Texans, bring hundreds of good-paying jobs, boost local businesses, and further cement Texas as a national leader in economic growth and innovation,” said Texas Senator Ted Cruz. “I am excited to see the opportunities this brings to our great state.”
