Delta Air Lines has announced the addition of several flights to accommodate college football fans traveling to the College Football Playoff quarterfinals at the end of December and early January.
“Bowl season is all about tradition, rivalries and unforgettable moments as teams battle it out for a place in the championship,” said Amy Martin, Vice President – Network Planning. “By adding additional flights and building off Delta’s well-positioned existing network, we are making sure college football fans can be there to cheer on their team when and where it matters the most.”
For those heading to Dallas, Delta will offer flights between Columbus (CMH) and Dallas (DFW) on December 30 and January 1. In Miami, Delta will operate up to 12 daily segments between Atlanta (ATL) and Miami (MIA) on December 31 and January 2. Fans traveling from Indianapolis (IND) to Los Angeles (LAX) can take advantage of extra flights on December 30, December 31, and January 2. Additionally, more flights will be available from Atlanta (ATL) to New Orleans (MSY) on December 31 and January 2.
The airline has also published a detailed schedule listing specific flight numbers, departure times, arrival times, and aircraft types for each added route.
Delta noted that its fleet is equipped with in-flight entertainment options that allow passengers to watch games while flying over the continental United States. The company stated that approximately three-quarters of its planes now have fast, free Wi-Fi provided by T-Mobile through Delta Sync Wi-Fi service. This connectivity enables customers to stream games using their own subscription services during their journey.
