Delta Air Lines has announced the launch of four new nonstop routes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), expanding its service to Denver, Columbus, Kansas City, and Miami. The airline is also increasing the number of flights on existing routes to San Francisco and Indianapolis.

“With these new routes and expanded service, Delta is building on a strong foundation in Austin and creating more ways for our customers to get where they want to go,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning. “It’s another step in delivering the network, convenience and premium experience that sets Delta apart as Austin’s leading global carrier.”

“This is another exciting investment in our community from Delta,” said Ghizlane Badawi, AUS CEO. “We are so grateful for their partnership and shared mission of connecting Austin and Central Texas travelers to more nonstop destinations. We look forward to the continued collaboration with the airline, especially as we make progress on expanding and improving our airport.”

The new service will connect Austin with important business and leisure markets. Delta now serves nearly 30 destinations from AUS.

Details for the new nonstop flights include:
– Denver (DEN): Service begins November 9, 2025, operating twice daily through SkyWest.
– Miami (MIA): Daily flights start November 22, 2025, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
– Columbus (CMH): Once daily service begins June 7, 2026 via SkyWest.
– Kansas City (MCI): Twice-daily flights begin June 7, 2026 via SkyWest.

Flights to Denver, Columbus, and Kansas City will use Embraer 175 aircraft with Delta First, Comfort+, and Main Cabin seating.

Expanded services include:
– San Francisco (SFO): From April 13, 2026 service increases from one to two daily flights using Airbus A319 aircraft.
– Indianapolis (IND): Starting June 7, 2026 service expands from one to three daily flights.

Delta reports it has carried over one million passengers through Austin this year—a rise of 12% compared to last year. The airline plans further growth with upcoming domestic flights to Palm Springs in November and international service to Cancun and Cabo San Lucas starting in December.

Austin-based customers have access to a highly rated Delta Sky Club at AUS. For three consecutive years it has ranked highest in customer satisfaction for the Southern region.

In October, Delta will open a permanent flight attendant base in Austin.

“This is fantastic news for the Lone Star State! Delta’s decision to open a flight attendant base and continue its expansion in Austin will open more travel choices for Texans, bring hundreds of good-paying jobs, boost local businesses, and further cement Texas as a national leader in economic growth and innovation,” said Texas Senator Ted Cruz. “I am excited to see the opportunities this brings to our great state.”
