Delta Air Lines will distribute $1.3 billion to its employees worldwide as part of its 2025 profit-sharing program. This payout represents an estimated 8.9% of eligible annual earnings, equating to more than four weeks of extra pay on average for each employee.

The distribution is scheduled for Profit Sharing Day on February 13, a date the company aligns with Valentine’s Day as an annual recognition of employee contributions and Delta’s people-focused culture.

Chief People Officer Allison Ausband stated, “The passion and dedication of Delta people carried us through 2025 and will continue to propel us forward. Their unwavering focus on safety and care is what builds trust and a deep loyalty for customers, and continued success for Delta.”

Profit sharing remains central to Delta’s philosophy that investing in its workforce contributes directly to the company’s ongoing success. Under the current structure, employees receive 10% of the first $2.5 billion in profits earned by the airline and 20% above that threshold. The $1.3 billion being distributed this year ranks among the top five largest payouts in Delta’s history and is projected to exceed combined industry payouts.

Since 2022, Delta has shared nearly $5 billion in profits with its staff—an amount equal to more than 18 weeks’ pay.
