Delta Air Lines has announced the release of version 7.5 of its mobile app, introducing several new features aimed at making travel planning and management easier for customers during the holiday season.

The updated app now allows users to select “My Dates are Flexible” in the booking window and compare prices by date using the new Flex Calendar. This feature is designed to help travelers find the best deals for their trips and identify eligible dates for using Companion Certificates in a single view.

Travelers can also use the “Advanced Search” function to add Certificates, eCredits, or Delta Gift Cards when searching for flights. Additionally, the latest release expands day-of-travel information in Live Activities, displaying details such as boarding zone, seat assignment, and baggage carousel directly on the lock screen.

Delta SkyMiles Card Members will benefit from the new Delta Sky Club Tracker, which allows them to monitor spending, track club visits, and see progress toward unlimited Delta Sky Club access for the following year.

The app now also enables users to update their Known Traveler Number (KTN) directly, removing the need to visit the Delta website for this task.

Later this month, a select group of app users will be invited to try Delta Concierge, a digital travel assistant designed for SkyMiles Members. According to Delta, “Delta Concierge is designed to complement the care and expertise of Delta’s people, freeing up agents to focus on more complex, one-on-one interactions while giving customers fast, accurate answers — powered by generative AI—on the go.”

Delta stated that these updates are part of its ongoing efforts to create a more personalized and connected journey for SkyMiles Members.

The airline also highlighted features introduced in its 7.0 summer release, which included easy redemption of Global and Regional Upgrade Certificates, improved notifications, support for international travel documentation, and self-service standby rebooking.

Delta describes its app as a comprehensive travel companion that connects each step of the journey with real-time features intended to reduce stress and keep travelers informed from booking through baggage claim.
