Delta Air Lines has announced the newest members of its Team Delta athlete ambassador program ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. As the official airline sponsor for Team USA, Delta continues its multi-year partnership supporting athletes on their journey to international competition.
Alicia Tillman, Delta’s Chief Marketing Officer, said, “We believe meaningful journeys begin with intention — whether an athlete is chasing a dream to represent their country, or our people are delivering the world-class experiences they’ve become known for. This shared sense of purpose is why Delta’s role goes far beyond simply getting these athletes or customers to their destinations. These athletes exemplify what it means to lead with purpose and power, and our 100,000 employees are proud to stand beside them as they prepare to take on the world in Milano Cortina.”
Returning to Team Delta is figure skater Amber Glenn, who previously joined during the Beijing 2022 Games. The new roster also includes Maia and Alex Shibutani—known as the ‘Shib Sibs’—who were the first ice dance team of color to win a medal at the Winter Olympics.
The team features a notable connection between Delta staff and athletes: Declan Farmer, a U.S. Paralympian and three-time gold medalist in sled hockey whose mother works as a Delta flight attendant. Similarly, aerialist skier Justin Schoenefeld—an Olympic gold medalist in mixed team aerials from Beijing 2022—also has family ties to Delta through his mother.
Alpine skiing champion Lindsey Vonn will join Team Delta as she prepares for Milano Cortina 2026. Vonn holds four World Cup overall titles and has achieved 82 World Cup race victories—the most by any American skier—and won Olympic gold in downhill at Vancouver 2010.
Team Delta athletes participate in digital campaigns and events that showcase their preparation for competition while engaging with fans and employees across the company.
Delta’s relationship with Team USA began in 1996 when it sponsored the Atlanta Olympic Games. The airline later served as Official Airline Sponsor for Salt Lake City’s 2002 Winter Games—including providing charter flights for the Olympic Torch Relay—and renewed its commitment with a multi-year agreement covering Beijing 2022, Paris 2024, Milano Cortina 2026, and Los Angeles 2028. Specially painted aircraft featuring Team USA livery celebrate this partnership on domestic and international routes.
Delta states that its collaboration with Team USA reflects shared values such as excellence, cultural connection, ambition, and ongoing improvement.
