Delta Air Lines announced on Apr. 20 that its Connected Onboard Platform (CoP) has been recognized as the best in the industry, earning major accolades for innovation in delivering a seamless and connected onboard experience.

The recognition highlights Delta’s efforts to improve reliability, connectivity, and service recovery for passengers across its fleet. The CoP serves as a digital foundation that integrates operational, connectivity, and customer experience data from all in-flight entertainment and connectivity partners.

Glenn Latta, managing director – In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity at Delta Air Lines, said: “The Connected Onboard Platform is foundational to how we operate. Our customers may never see the platform, but they feel it on every flight. This achievement is a testament to the engineers, operators and partners who made CoP possible, breaking down silos across the customer and employee experience to design something truly one-of-a-kind that fits the needs of our business.”

In addition to receiving this distinction—one of the industry’s highest honors for aircraft innovation—Delta also won a PAX Readership Award for its dual-network connectivity solution designed for Wi-Fi onboard its 717 fleet in partnership with Hughes. These awards are determined by airline executives, suppliers, decision-makers and recognize excellence within aviation technology and services.

Delta Air Lines utilizes a diverse fleet from manufacturers such as Airbus and Boeing to support global routes according to the official website. The company focuses on connecting people worldwide through secure air travel across more than 350 destinations as reported by its official website. Operating as a publicly traded entity incorporated in Delaware under U.S. law according to Delta’s official site, Delta provides scheduled transport services for both passengers and cargo globally according to company information.

Looking ahead, Delta says it will continue investing in technologies that keep SkyMiles Members connected during their travels.
