Delta Air Lines has announced an expanded flight schedule to Louisville (SDF) for the 2026 Kentucky Derby, marking its largest-ever offering for the event. The airline will provide service from 10 U.S. cities, including new nonstop flights from Austin and Raleigh-Durham.

Amy Martin, Vice President – Network Planning at Delta, stated, “Kentucky’s prestigious pastime isn’t just a race, it’s an exciting celebration that our customers love to attend each year. We’re adding over 3,000 seats and offering over 60 flights to and from Louisville for the 2026 event, making it easier for customers to take part in the celebrations, whether they’re drawn to the thrill of the race or the festivities.”

The 2026 schedule includes additional frequencies on peak travel days between Atlanta and Louisville—up to 10 inbound trips and 13 return trips during the busiest times. Following strong performance in 2025, Delta will also upgrade service between New York-JFK and Louisville with a mainline Airbus A220-100 aircraft. Other key routes receiving added capacity include Boston, Detroit (with larger aircraft), Los Angeles, LaGuardia, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Salt Lake City, as well as new nonstop options from Raleigh-Durham and Austin.

Delta aims to accommodate increased demand during one of Kentucky’s most notable events by increasing both seat count and flight frequency.
