Delta Air Lines has begun a beta rollout of its new AI-powered assistant, Delta Concierge, which is integrated into the Delta app and available exclusively to SkyMiles Members. The tool aims to provide real-time, personalized support by using Delta’s internal data and advanced logic.

As of October 29, a select group of SkyMiles Members and app users have early access to the beta version. These users are invited to give feedback that will help shape the development of the tool. The rollout will be phased and expand over time as Delta gathers input from customers.

Eric Phillips, Chief Digital Officer at Delta, stated: “Delta Concierge is more than just a digital assistant—it’s a reflection of how we’re using AI technology to blend the physical and digital experience. We want Delta Concierge to feel personal, like an extension of the care and service our Delta team members are known for. As customers begin to get access, we want to hear their feedback. This limited rollout helps us learn and refine, so together we can deliver a smarter, more seamless, and deeply personalized travel experience.”

The concierge is accessible through a widget icon on the home screen of the app for those in the beta group. After signing in with their SkyMiles account, users can receive answers about flight times, seat assignments (available 24 hours before departure), gate information, SkyMiles status details, eCredit lookup, bag tracking and claim status. The tool also offers voice activation for hands-free assistance.

If Delta Concierge cannot resolve an issue or answer a question directly within the app, it connects customers with Delta’s Reservations & Customer Care team for further support.

Delta describes this innovation as part of its ongoing investment in improving customer experience through technology. Over its history spanning nearly 100 years, Delta has introduced several technological advancements aimed at making travel more connected and convenient for passengers—such as offering free Wi-Fi via T-Mobile on most flights for SkyMiles Members and introducing touchless identification options at airport security checkpoints.

The company plans to gradually expand both access and functionality for Delta Concierge over several months. Additional features are expected in future updates—including proactive travel tips, airport navigation guidance, international travel requirement information (such as passports or visas), and expanded employee support—with continuous learning based on user interactions.

To use Delta Concierge when it becomes available on their account, travelers need only have an active SkyMiles Membership and ensure they have updated their app to the latest version.
