Delta Air Lines has launched a new initiative, Centennial Cheer, to mark its 100th anniversary by recognizing acts of kindness during the holiday travel season. The program aims to highlight and celebrate 100,000 gestures of care shared among Delta employees and customers.

Starting this week and running through January 5, Delta employees will distribute Holiday Medallion cards to travelers who display acts of kindness while flying with the airline. These cards are not connected to loyalty status or flight activity but are intended for those who demonstrate the holiday spirit through helpful actions.

“Gifting Holiday Medallion cards to reward acts of kindness creates a positive loop of gratitude between our customers and employees,” said Erik Snell, Delta’s chief customer experience officer. “Whether it’s helping a seatmate with their bag, sharing a phone charger or simply thanking a reservations specialist, those gestures create the kind of connection that makes travel feel special. That’s what Centennial Cheer is all about, recognizing and celebrating the kindness we see every day.”

Recipients of the Holiday Medallion cards can redeem them for surprise gifts. Prizes include exclusive Delta Centennial merchandise and a limited number of Centennial Gift Sets that contain commemorative trading cards and a $500 Delta Gift Card.

Medallion Members—specifically Delta 360°, Diamond Medallion, and Platinum Medallion members with confirmed holiday travel—will receive more than 40,000 Job Well Done Certificates to recognize outstanding service from Delta employees. Eligible members may also request additional certificates via deltamedalliontags.com.

In addition to recognizing customers, Delta is also providing its staff with tokens to acknowledge colleagues’ positive actions as part of its effort to promote care and service within the company.

Holiday Medallion cards will be distributed while supplies last starting December 4. Customers who observe acts of kindness on their travels with Delta are encouraged to share their experiences by emailing MedallionThanks@delta.com.

“Delta people take pride in creating moments of care, and this season they’re excited to recognize that same spirit in others,” said Snell. “As our 100th year comes to a close, we’re celebrating the kindness and connection that have defined Delta from the very beginning.”

According to program terms, no purchase is necessary for participation; recipients must be U.S. residents aged 18 or older. Gifts must be redeemed by March 31, 2026, are non-transferable, subject to availability, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
