Delta Air Lines launched its first nonstop flight from Atlanta to Marrakech on October 25, establishing a direct connection between the Southeastern United States and Morocco. The inaugural service marks Delta’s entry into this route, offering three weekly flights from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

At the departure gate in Atlanta, Delta hosted a send-off event featuring Moroccan music, local sweets, and giveaways. A ribbon-cutting ceremony included Delta employees, airport partners, and customers.

“Delta’s new nonstop service to Marrakech marks an exciting milestone in our commitment to connect the U.S. and Africa,” said Christine Marchand-Pardo, Delta’s Managing Director of EMEAI Operations. “This route opens the door to one of the world’s most vibrant and culturally rich destinations, making travel more seamless for our customers.”

The new route is part of Delta’s strategy to enhance international connectivity from its Atlanta hub. Passengers on this service can expect amenities such as lie-flat seats in Delta One and curated dining options across all cabins.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, passengers were welcomed with traditional Moroccan hospitality including mint tea and local snacks.

Delta states that this new service will help strengthen ties between the U.S. and Morocco by facilitating easier travel between the two regions.
