Delta Air Lines is offering flexible travel options to customers as forecasts predict severe winter weather, including freezing rain, sleet, and ice across Texas, the Southeast—affecting the airline’s Atlanta hub—and the Northeast in the coming days. The company says its main priority is ensuring the safety of both passengers and staff while monitoring conditions to make necessary schedule changes.

To help travelers manage their plans during this period, Delta has announced that customers with existing bookings can adjust their flights without incurring fees. Customers are encouraged to visit Delta.com or use the mobile app for adjustments. In cases where flights are canceled or delays result in missed connections, Delta will rebook affected passengers on the next available flight.

Delta advises all travelers to check their flight status regularly through its website or app for updates. Passengers can opt to receive notifications via mobile device or email regarding any schedule changes. The airline states it will provide as much advance notice as possible about disruptions.

As a major global carrier, Delta Air Lines operates scheduled passenger and cargo flights connecting more than 350 destinations worldwide. The company maintains a diverse fleet and focuses on providing reliable air travel across continents, according to its official website.

“The safety of Delta customers and our people remains first and foremost as we closely monitor forecasts to determine necessary schedule adjustments.”
