Cope Notes, a startup launched from Emory University in Atlanta, is aiming to address the mental health needs of students through its telehealth platform. The company, which began operations in 2025 and has received angel funding, uses text messaging to provide mental health support.

According to Cope Notes, the service has already sent millions of supportive text messages as part of its effort to help individuals manage their mental health. The company is now expanding its focus to reach student populations who often face barriers to accessing traditional therapy services.

“Fast, Affordable, On-Demand Therapy: This Emory-Launched Startup Is Taking on the Student Mental Health Crisis,” said a representative from Cope Notes.

The startup’s approach centers on making mental health resources more accessible and affordable for young people. By leveraging technology, Cope Notes aims to fill gaps in campus mental health services and offer an alternative for those seeking immediate support.

Cope Notes operates out of Atlanta, Georgia and is positioned within the telehealth and mental health tech industries.
