The Georgia Chamber of Commerce has issued a statement following the groundbreaking ceremony for Rivian Inc.’s new manufacturing facility in Social Circle. The site is set to become Georgia’s second-largest economic development project and will be Rivian’s largest manufacturing facility upon completion. Earlier this year, Rivian announced plans to expand its operations in the state by opening an East Coast Headquarters in Atlanta.

The Georgia Chamber was founded in 1911 and incorporated in 1915. It is recognized as the largest business advocacy organization in the state and represents tens of thousands of members from various regions with offices located in Atlanta, Brunswick, and Tifton.
