The University of Georgia football team secured a 28-6 victory over Austin Peay on Saturday at Sanford Stadium, overcoming a two-hour weather delay that extended halftime. The game was the Bulldogs’ final non-conference matchup before entering Southeastern Conference play.

Georgia’s offense relied on running backs Chauncey Bowens and Nate Frazier, who each scored two rushing touchdowns. The defense limited Austin Peay, an FCS team from the Atlantic Sun Conference, to just six points.

The long rain delay tested both teams and fans, but Georgia maintained its focus to finish the game strong. Head coach Kirby Smart led the Bulldogs onto the field after the break.
