Georgia has maintained its position as the top state for business for the twelfth consecutive year, according to Area Development magazine. The publication made its selection based on a nationwide survey of site selection firms.
Chris Clark, President & CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, commented on the achievement: “It’s no surprise that Georgia is once again the number one state for business after taking historic steps to strengthen our business climate. This sustained success reflects a commitment to quality growth and the strong partnership between Georgia’s business community and elected officials. The Georgia Chamber thanks Governor Brian Kemp, Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, House Speaker Jon Burns, the Georgia General Assembly, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, and local leaders for investing in our future, making the Peach State the economic envy of the nation. We remain committed to ensuring Georgia is the number one state for business for the next 25 years and beyond.”
The Georgia Chamber of Commerce was established in 1911 and incorporated in 1915. It is recognized as the largest business advocacy group in Georgia and represents tens of thousands of members statewide. With offices located in Atlanta, Brunswick, and Tifton, it works to promote free enterprise and support long-term economic growth.
In 2025, the organization introduced its strategic initiative called Georgia|2050 to help maintain economic opportunity over the next quarter-century. Additional information about their efforts can be found at https://www.gachamber.com/.
