Cricket powder-based protein brownies, a visualization system for fencing blades, and a personalized AI application for analyzing blood work are among the student inventions to be featured at Georgia Tech’s Fall 2025 Idea to Prototype (I2P) Showcase. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, at 5 p.m. in the Marcus Nanotechnology Building.

The I2P Showcase highlights projects from undergraduate students who have spent the semester developing functional prototypes designed to address real-world problems. This year’s showcase will include over 60 teams presenting their inventions. Some of the other prototypes on display include a smart military drone, a device intended to make cervical cancer screening more comfortable, a rotating espresso station, tools aimed at improving AI safety, compact data centers, and systems that simulate cyberattacks to help companies strengthen their cybersecurity.

The event is open free of charge to students, faculty, staff, and local community members. Attendees will have an opportunity to view original inventions and interact with the student teams behind them.

Teams selected as winners during the showcase will receive prizes along with a “golden ticket” entry into CREATE-X’s Startup Launch program. This summer accelerator offers participants optional seed funding as well as credits for accounting and legal services and mentorship support to assist students in transforming their prototypes into startups.

Refreshments will be provided at this free event. Registration is now open for those interested in attending.
