The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has announced its participation in the Young Workers March on Washington, scheduled for Saturday, February 7, in Washington, D.C. The event aims to address challenges faced by young workers and advocate for better opportunities.

According to the IAM, young workers are dealing with several crises that impact their lives and future employment prospects. These include issues related to affordability, housing, healthcare, childcare, and student debt. The union stated that these problems threaten both the workforce’s future and community stability.

The march will begin at 11 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. A rally is set to follow at noon at the U.S. Capitol Building. The IAM encourages members and supporters to attend in support of good jobs, economic security, and improved conditions for working families.

For additional information about the event or participation details, individuals can contact Dee Colbert, Director of IAM Women’s and Young Workers.
