The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Retirees & Membership Services Department held a week-long training session at the William Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Maryland. The purpose of the class was to support members in forming retiree clubs at both district and local levels.

The initiative aims to increase activism among retirees, provide them with additional resources, and encourage mentorship for younger union members. The department encourages those interested in starting an IAM retiree club to visit https://www.goiam.org/departments/general-secretary-treasurer/membership-services/ for more information.

This effort is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the involvement and influence of retired IAM members within the organization.
