Kyle Carroll has been appointed as Special Representative to the Air Transport Territory of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), effective October 1, 2025. The announcement was made by IAM International President Brian Bryant.
Carroll, who has a long history in the airline industry, is known for his commitment to organizing and growing the labor movement. “Kyle represents the best of what it means to be an IAM member — dedicated, experienced, and deeply rooted in our mission to lift working families,” said Bryant. “His decades of service in the airline industry and steadfast commitment to growing our union make him an outstanding choice to strengthen our Air Transport Territory.”
A third-generation union member from Jersey City, New Jersey, Carroll is affiliated with IAM Local 914 and District 141. He has worked as a Ramp Serviceman for Continental/United Airlines since 1993 and has held several union positions, including steward, committee person, committee chairman, and District 141 Assistant General Chairperson.
IAM Air Transport General Vice President Richie Johnsen also commented on Carroll’s appointment. “I’m excited to welcome Kyle as our new IAM Air Transport Special Representative,” said Johnsen. “Kyle’s impressive resume, hard work for our members, and dedication to the labor make him an invaluable addition to our team.”
Carroll has completed nearly all courses at the Winpisinger Center and intends to share his knowledge with fellow members. In addition to his union activities, he enjoys baseball, traveling, and spending time with his family.
