Martine Shannon, an independent artist and marketing specialist, has praised Amazon’s efforts at its Disaster Relief Hub in Georgia. She made the statement on Instagram.

“Just back from touring Amazon Disaster Relief Hub in Georgia,” said Shannon, according to Instagram. “The work they’re doing is incredible.”

Amazon recently expanded its Disaster Relief Hub in Atlanta, Georgia, to enhance its disaster response capabilities. The facility now covers more than 20,000 cubic feet—equivalent to over 50 Amazon delivery vans—and is stocked with relief supplies throughout the year. It supports emergency aid efforts across the United States in collaboration with organizations such as Save the Children and the American Red Cross.

According to Amazon, it also operates a Disaster Relief Hub in Europe, which was launched in 2023. Located in Slovakia, this facility pre-positions over 1 million items for rapid distribution during crises and supports emergency operations across the continent with global aid organizations. The hub plays a significant role in delivering food, shelter, and hygiene items during disasters and humanitarian events.

In 2024, Amazon further expanded its disaster relief operations globally by pre-positioning more than 2.4 million items for donation across its network. These supplies include tarps, blankets, medical kits, and food that are ready for immediate deployment. The company partnered with 18 global nonprofits to deliver aid to communities affected by over 25 major disasters worldwide.

Shannon is based in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and Sociology from Florida State University and has previously led interactive painting classes for both children and adults. Her client portfolio includes notable names such as the NFL (National Football League), NBA (National Basketball Association), Japanese Basketball League, and Hidden Valley Ranch.
