Startup Runway recently hosted a pitch competition where Atlanta-based Guala was awarded the top prize of $10,000. The founder, Austin Evans, had previously been featured on Hypepotamus.
Wayflyer, a fintech company based in Ireland, announced plans to establish its US headquarters in Charlotte. The company had opened an office in Atlanta in 2021.
Skillmaker.ai was recognized as the Future of Work winner at the EDTECH WEEK 2025 Shark Tank Finale held in New York.
Atlanta-based Alloy received nine industry honors, including four w3 awards from the Academy of Interactive Visual Arts. These included two Gold and two Silver awards for website and UX design work completed for Georgia Aquarium, Barr Foundation, and Digital Hands.

PlayOn Sports announced Perkins Miller as its new Chief Executive Officer as part of a planned leadership transition. Miller previously served as CEO of Fandom. David Rudolph will continue with PlayOn Sports in a senior leadership role overseeing video streaming and sports analytics.
