A number of technology companies across the Southeast reported significant funding and business developments during the week of September 22-25, 2025.
Atlanta-based PrizePicks announced that Allwyn will acquire a majority stake in the company. Allwyn has agreed to purchase approximately 62.3% of PrizePicks for an initial cash consideration of $1.6 billion, giving the company an upfront enterprise value of $2.5 billion. The agreement includes provisions for additional cash payments if PrizePicks meets certain performance targets over the next three years, which could raise the total enterprise value to as much as $4.15 billion.
OneDigital, an insurance and financial services firm headquartered in Atlanta, secured a $2.3 billion investment that brings its valuation to $7.2 billion.
Thyme Care, a cancer care company based in Nashville, raised $97 million in Series D funding.
Beroe, a procurement intelligence company from North Carolina, closed a $34 million venture round.
Amplio, an Atlanta startup focused on warehouse operations, completed an $11.1 million Series A round.
Miami-based Shield, which facilitates cross-border crypto transactions for exporters and importers, raised $5 million in seed funding led by Giant Ventures with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Factor Capital, Coinbase, and Bank of America.
crewOS from Birmingham secured $1.25 million in funding led by Far Out Ventures; the company previously participated in Startup Showcase Live at Venture Atlanta.
MagnoliaED from Mississippi received a pre-seed investment of $25,000 from CoBuilders.
Zinnia—a sales copilot startup with ties to Atlanta and Charlotte—received investment from Primordial Ventures.
