The Staff Council elected its officers for the 2026-2027 academic year at a meeting held on April 1.

The election determines the leadership team that will represent staff interests and coordinate council activities in the coming year. The newly elected officers are President Rebecca Mayo from the Office of Research, Vice President Harper Davison from the Office of Global Engagement, Coordinator Wendy Holland from the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, Recording Secretary Mary Formo from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, and Treasurer Ashley Weed from the Office of Research.

These officers will officially assume their roles on July 1. Their responsibilities include overseeing council meetings, managing communications among staff members, maintaining records, and handling financial matters for Staff Council operations.

The new leadership is expected to guide initiatives supporting university staff throughout the next academic cycle. The transition aims to ensure continuity in representation and advocacy for staff needs across various departments.
