stow Group, a company specializing in industrial storage and automation solutions, plans to invest $36 million in a new manufacturing facility in Gordon County, Georgia. The move is expected to create around 200 jobs in the area.
Governor Brian Kemp commented on the announcement, stating, “Georgia’s reliable infrastructure network and strategic location ensure we remain a gateway to opportunity, and companies like stow Group are a big reason why our robust logistics industry continues to deliver results across the state. Headquartered in Belgium, stow Group manufactures racking systems for warehouses and provides customized storage solutions. The company is expanding its presence into the United States and serves clients across several sectors, including logistics, food and beverage, and life sciences.
Jos De Vuyst, CEO of stow Group, said: “This new production facility in Georgia will further strengthen stow’s presence and support network in North America and bring us closer to existing and new customers. Expanding our production footprint in the United States is a key milestone for stow Group. The new facility in Gordon County will allow us to serve our customers faster, enhance our local partnerships, and continue our commitment to innovation and sustainability.”
Michael Morgenroth, Plant Manager at stow U.S., added: “I am very excited to ramp up a highly automated production plant with the latest technologies in rack manufacturing. Together with the State of Georgia and Gordon County, we are already working on training plans. We believe this will offer great career development opportunities for anyone in the local workforce who is interested in steel manufacturing.”
The planned operations will occupy 240,000 square feet of an existing building along Highway 41 near Adairsville. Production is set to begin in 2026. Job opportunities will be available for positions involving profiling, stamping, welding, powder coating, automation, assembly as well as roles in logistics, administration, and management. John Soper from the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Global Commerce team worked on this project with partners including the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce; Development Authority of Gordon County; Georgia Quick Start; and Georgia Power.
