Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill, located on Ponce De Leon Ave in Atlanta and part of the La Bonanza Hospitality Group, is set to reopen in late 2025 or early 2026. The reopening follows a temporary closure due to a kitchen hood fire that occurred in the early morning hours of June 1.

The company said the exact reopening date will depend on construction progress. La Bonanza is collaborating with Office of Design, an architecture and design firm based in Avondale Estates, for renovations. They are also working with the City of Atlanta to secure all required permits ahead of reopening.

In a statement, the company expressed gratitude that no injuries resulted from the June incident and acknowledged the response by local emergency services: “The company stated that they are deeply grateful that no injuries occurred during the June incident, and they commended the swift and professional response of Atlanta’s emergency services.”

Since its debut in 2010, Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill has expanded across Atlanta with locations in Buford, Buckhead, Cumming, Midtown, and most recently Lawrenceville/Snellville. The brand also offers full-service catering and food trucks through Bonnza Catering. Additionally, La Bonanza Hospitality Group operates Azotea Cantina in Midtown Atlanta.
