The Home Depot Foundation has launched its 2025 Celebration of Service campaign, marking the 15th year of the annual initiative aimed at supporting U.S. veterans. The campaign focuses on improving homes and facilities for veterans nationwide.

Despite progress over the past decade, more than 30,000 veterans continue to experience homelessness in the United States. From Patriot Day through Veterans Day, Team Depot—The Home Depot’s associate volunteer group—will conduct hundreds of projects to renovate, repair, and update veteran homes and support facilities.

According to The Home Depot Foundation, these projects will prioritize safe and accessible housing by providing critical home repairs, smart home modifications for wounded veterans and their families, renovations at nonprofit partner housing facilities that assist homeless veterans, sustainability initiatives to help lower energy costs for veterans’ households, and post-disaster rebuilding efforts.

“The Home Depot Foundation is putting honor in action through its annual Celebration of Service campaign, dedicated to improving the homes and lives of U.S. veterans. This is the 15th consecutive year the Foundation has held its annual veterans service campaign.”

“Even after a decade of improvement, there are still over 30,000 veterans experiencing homelessness. From Patriot Day to Veterans Day, Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate volunteer force, will honor our nation’s heroes with hundreds of projects to renovate, repair and refresh veteran homes and facilities.”

“Projects will focus on helping veterans secure safe, accessible housing through critical home repairs, smart home modifications, and renovations to transitional or permanent supportive housing facilities. These efforts reflect The Home Depot Foundation’s commitment to ensuring every veteran has a safe place to call home.”

“These volunteer efforts will address multiple aspects of veteran housing needs through:

Critical home repairs to ensure safety and habitability
Home modifications to improve accessibility for wounded veterans and their families
Renovations at nonprofit partner housing facilities that support veterans exiting homelessness
Sustainability initiatives through a program designed to lower energy costs for veterans and their families
Post-disaster rebuilding”

The campaign runs from September 8 through November 14 as part of an ongoing pledge by The Home Depot Foundation to invest $750 million in veteran causes by 2030. Since launching this effort in 2011, the organization has contributed more than $600 million toward veteran-related initiatives. Team Depot volunteers have worked with over 14,000 nonprofits across the country since then and have logged more than 2.8 million hours volunteering in local communities.
