The UGA Performing Arts Center Lobby Gallery is set to host “Living Legends of Georgia Music,” an exhibition by Athens-based watercolorist Jackie Dorsey. The exhibit will run from August 25, 2025, through January 5, 2026, with an opening reception scheduled for August 28 from 5-6 p.m.

Dorsey’s work in this series highlights eight prominent Georgia musicians, including the Indigo Girls, Big Boi of Outkast, and Mike Mills of R.E.M. These paintings are based on her own photography and represent a subset of a larger show first displayed at the Lyndon House Arts Center in summer 2023. The exhibition will be further expanded for presentation at the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art in fall 2026.

“The UGA Performing Arts Center welcomes the best in classical, jazz and roots music to its stages. Now visitors to the PAC’s Lobby Gallery can spend more than four months with some of Georgia’s biggest pop stars.”

In addition to the gallery exhibition, the UGA Performing Arts Center is launching its new season with international touring artists beginning September 11. Broadway star Lea Salonga will open the series. More than forty events are planned throughout the season, culminating in a gala performance by cellist Yo-Yo Ma on February 1, 2026, marking the center’s thirtieth anniversary.

Tickets can be purchased online at pac.uga.edu (https://pac.uga.edu), by phone at 706-542-4400 Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., or directly at the box office during those hours with short-term parking available for ticketing needs.
